This deposition taken 20th November --------
The examination of Elizabeth King the wife of Nicholas King of Rye, lighterman, be taken before Master Mayor and his brethren of Rye the 20th day of November anno regis nostri Jacobi etc. quinto.
She --- this examinate sayeth that she hath been divers times at her sister—Swapper’s house in the company of Mistress Taylor and her sister, and that she hath heard ----- in the chamber over their heads as though one h----. And upon that knocking Mistress ------ sister Swapper that she must go ?k-g and whispered to her in her ------ she could not tell. But her s[ister]------ down to Master Taylor’s summer[house] and in the meantime Mistress T[aylor]------ sister’s work till she return--------. And when her sister returned, sh------ whisper together in the ear. And w--- after they had whispered together, it ------ that she was so heavy asleep.
