This examinate should stay awhile, “you shall not come in yet”. Whereupon this examinate said that

He would come in, and so ran with his foot against the door, but could not open od it.

Then at the last, with much ado, she opened the door and went away. And this examinate did ask her where his wife was, and she said she was gone out of the town.

Then this examinate went in and looked up and down his house in his own chambers, but could not find her. Whe So this examinate went out of doors, and he did meet with as he went down the street John Moore’s wife and one Mid Mittimor's wife did tell him that they were assured that she was within the house, and that Mistress Taylor had been with her all the day.

How chance she did not come and upon open the door? And she answered

She was very busy with for Mistress Taylor aboutve in the garret and did not hear him knock.

But what her business was there she did not tell him.
