8 Item after you and the said Susan had digged in the said garden, did not you will the said Susan that when the spirits should appear unto her again (in regard you had digged in the said garden and could find nothing) that you should inquire of them what the sum was that was hidden, and where and in what place it was hidden in your garden and … were any more hidden in any other place …? Whether did you promise any reward unto the said Susan if any such money was found, and what reward did you promise her? And whether then you did not further tell her that you, when you were a maid, was troubled with the like apparition, yea or no? If yea, in what sort did it appear unto you, and what speeches did he it then use unto you, and what did it promise to give unto you if you would be ruled by the same? And whether did you make your mother acquainted with that apparition?
