28 Item the next day after that your son was buried, did not the said Susan tell you that that day that the same day that he was buried, she did see the spirit Richard go into the church? And that the same night that he was buried, that she heard the said Richard say to the rest of his fellows, T---- Preacher (which preached at h-s B------ w------ see him the said familiar in the said church in black ------ a flat cap sit in the garret at the time of the sermon, yea or no? Or did not you tell the said Susan that you saw such a one in the like shape? And that you thought the preacher mind was troubled, for that you never heard the like sermon before?
29 Item when did you first see or spy the apparitions in the glass window ag of Master Fowkes against your house, and how often have you seen them, and in how m--- --nde of forms, shapes or figures have you seen the same? Declare the truth at large. And whether you your self first spied or saw the same, or that any other did first tell you of the same?
30 Item for what cause, intent or purpose, do you think those apparitions do appear unto you? And whether hath did the said Susan at any time tell you the cause or meaning of the said apparition in the said window. And whether you, nor any in your house to your knowledge, have seen the like same --- apparition of things in any other window than in Master Fowkes’. Declare the truth herein.
