Interrogatory for Anne Bennett, widow / sheet 4

11 Item. Did not you at any time take upon you to heal one Mary the wife of William Carpenter of Rye of the toothache? If yea, what did she give you for your pains? Also did not you require of her the paring of her nails, which she did pare of, and give unto you? And did not you warrant her to cure her of the toothache? And she finding no ease did tell you hereof? And did not you answer and say unto her that she, the said Mary, did not believe or think that you could cure her, and that was the cause you could not help her, or what words did you use unto her concerning the same?

12 Item. Did not you at any time report that there were certain persons taken with a bad disease, and that had it not been for your daughter, they would have starved? And that you yourself did make a drink for them to cure those persons, and that she that did take the drink of you would live, and she that would not take the same would die? And what persons were those to whom you did or would have given that drink, declare your know[led]ge herein. And whether did that person die, [t]hat refused to take of your drink, yea or [no]?
