14 Whether have not you seen any fairies or other spirits, and how ?many of them have you seen together, and when and where saw you them, or whether did you not tell Swapper’s wife that you had seen some, or many, or 80 or a 100 of such fairies or spirits.
15 Whether did not you deliver to Swapper’s wife a raw piece of powdered beef, and whether Swapper’s wife did not tell you at her coming for the same beef, that the spirits had sent her for it, or that or that the spirits, or some, or one of them, would have it or to such effect.
16 Whether have not you made nosegays and given them to the said Swapper’s wife, and whether did not you also at divers other times use to give her herbs, or roses and gillyflowers. And whether did not you bid her give the same to the spirits, or lay them for the spirits, or to such effect.
17 Whether did not you will Swapper’s wife to enquire of the spirits, or one of them, whether that your husband’s daughter now deceased and then sick, were bewitched or no, and whether was your said daughter bewitched or no, and in what manner was her disease or sickness.
18 Whether did you see the picture of Master Hamon deceased in the glass window, and whether was it in his sickness, or before or after his death. And whether did not you say to Swapper’s wife, or some other, after Master Hamon’s sickness that he should or would never escape it, and what reason had you to say so.
19 Whether did not you kill a turkey and eat it in your house at dinner the day after Master Hamon died, and whether did not you say to Swapper’s wife that if he died, you would kill and eat the said turkey, and for what cause did you say or do so.
20 Whether were not you in Swapper’s house when Swapper came ?and ---- ?k--- at the doors to come in, and how long stayed you there that day, and what business or other thing did you there at that time, and did you no other business there that day, and what ?business or other thing if you did what was it. And whether were not you that day alone above in the chambers or upper rooms of the said house, and how long stayed you there at any time together, and wherefore went you up thither or stayed there, and whether did the spirits use to come to those chambers or upper rooms. And whether did not you see any of the said spirits there that day, or talk with any of them there. And whether did not you that day or in the evening hear a knock or stamp or noise in the said chambers or upper rooms of the said house. And whether did not you bid Swapper’s wife go see what they did lack. And whether was not Swapper’s wife taken that day in such manner as that she could not remove from the place where she stood, neither could speak.
21 Whether in Master Hamon’s sickness and within short time after the beginning thereof, or within a day or two of his first being sick, whether did not you send for Swapper’s wife to her house to come to you. And whether she came to you or no. And whether did not you then will the said Swapper’s wife to go into the chamber over the hall there to see if ?any ?of the spirits were there, and whether did not you tell her that you thought or believed that one of them was then there.
22 Whether did not the said Swapper’s wife thereupon go to the said chamber, and whether at her return did not she tell you that one of the spirits was there, and which of the said spirits did she name, and whether did not the said Swapper’s wife then also tell you that the said spirit would have you send him some planet water. And whether did you give unto her any of the said water. And what did the said Swapper’s wife with the same, and what kind of water is the same planet water, and of what herbs or things and in what manner is the same made, and what is the virtue thereof, and wherefore is it called planet water.
